Brain Awareness Week at Faculty of Medicine, ULisboa

Students from Escola Secundária de Carcavelos visited the our laboratories, where they explored different areas of neuroscience research. They began by attending a seminar titled “Does the brain have any potential to regenerate?” presented by Prof. Sara Xapelli. Afterwards, the group engaged in three practical activities.

Sessions in Imaging, Behavior, and Electrophysiology were led by Prof. Sara Xapelli, Doctor Leonor Rodrigues, and Prof. Sandra Vaz, respectively. The visit offered students a direct and engaging introduction to scientific methods used to study the brain.
