Our Lab at FENS 2025 in Oslo

16-19th June 2025 | All Day | Oslo, Norway

Our lab recently had the opportunity to attend the FENS Regional Meeting (FRM) 2025 in Oslo, Norway, an event dedicated to promoting excellence in neuroscience research across Europe. The meeting featured an outstanding program covering topics such as glia-neuron plasticity, neuroinflammation, neurodevelopmental lipid metabolism, cognitive dysfunction, neuronal circuitry, and neurodegeneration.

At the conference, we showcased much of our ongoing work at Faculdade de Medicina, Universidade de Lisboa, highlighting studies on neuronal communication, synaptopathies, and behavioral, molecular, and clinical aspects of neurodegenerative diseases.

Our students - Mafalda Ferreira-Manso, Tiago Costa-Coelho, Sara Inteiro-Oliveira and Nuno Alemãn-Serrano - also presented their research on neurotrophin factor signaling, gaining invaluable experience in sharing their findings with the broader neuroscience community.

Attending FENS 2025 was an inspiring opportunity to learn from leaders in the field, witness cutting-edge neuroscience in action, and engage with pioneering research in areas ranging from electrophysiology to translational neurobiology.

We are excited to bring these insights back to our lab and look forward to applying what we learned in preparation for the next FENS meeting in 2026 in Madrid, Spain.
